Cancer steals your motivation to grow and thrive. Things that once brought you joy are a chore.
I know how hard it is to start again. I remember the mental and physical distress of chemo and ostomy surgery. I was relieved and hopeful at the end of treatment and excited to get that ileostomy reversed! But then what? I knew exercise was the key to getting back on track but I was terrified of hurting myself.
So I created the Empower Wellness 21 Day Challenge.
It didn’t happen overnight. What you see here is the culmination of my 20+ years-experience as a Pilates and Yoga instructor, insight as a Certified Health & Wellness Coach and personal experience with cancer and recovery (Twice!). And just to make extra certain that all these exercises help and don’t hurt, I enlisted the advice of the same cancer specialists who carried me through my journey back to wellness.
But you don’t have to be a cancer survivor to benefit from Movement as Medicine!
Everybody faces challenging times that break them down—especially now. This series is more than an exercise class. It’s a lesson in joy! How to create it, capture it and maintain it. Because movement is medicine! Not only are you releasing happiness inducing endorphins but you are rebuilding strength, reducing pain and celebrating your successes, every day for 21 days.
Are you coming back from cancer, holding up a household or surviving as a single mom? There is a place for you here.
And great news: every paid EW21 Challenge sponsors a woman in my non-profit 501c3 Cancer Core Recovery (CCR™) Project in recovering functional movement and health!
